Anette: My parents motivated me to start running at a young age. When I started lifting weights in college, I fell in LOVE. I watched my body transform and I started feeling the best I’ve ever felt so I went on with this healthy lifestyle!Question 6

Anette: What I love most about competing is that it is a mental game just as much as a physical game and you can literally accomplish anything as long as your mind is willing to work with you!Question 11

Anette: I love cookies and ice cream! However, while competing my cheat meal was usually a burger and sweet potato fries (with mayo).Question 14

Anette: Since I am no longer competing, my goals are to continue to push myself in the gym and gain lean muscle, lose a tiny bit of body fat just so that I can maintain my ideal physique!Question 15
Do you believe that women are well represented in the sports and fitness industries?
Anette: I think it's up to us to represent ourselves in ways that WE want to!Question 16
What is your favorite motivational quote?

For all those who still suffer from insecurity, in your opinion, what helped you to get there?
Anette: Thank you! My biggest piece of advice would be to dive into personal development, self-awareness and learning what YOUR strengths are, instead of focusing on everyone else’s. We are all so unique and it is my belief that when we truly know ourselves and our unique strengths, we naturally become confident in who we are. We are all here to make a unique contribution to the world! The key is in finding out how YOU will do that. This is what has helped me get there.
