Question 1
WHAT IS THE ONE WORD THAT DESCRIBES YOU BEST?
Sophie: DeterminedQuestion 2
WHAT IS YOUR TOP-3 FAVORITE ATP LAB SUPPLEMENT PRODUCTS?
Sophie: First, I love the chocolate OVB vegan protein. It's the only protein that gives me a pudding texture by adding only a small amount of water. Second, Estro Control helps me a lot with the quality of my legs skin by reducing cellulite. And third, Stressless is a must for me, especially when I work a lot.Question 3
When did you start your career as an elite athlete?
Sophie: I started in the fitness world in 2014. I have never competed at a professional level, but I participated in high caliber competitions like the Arnold Classic in Columbus and numerous Canadian championships.Question 4
IF YOU COULD CHOOSE ANOTHER CAREER OR SPORT WHAT WOULD IT BE?
Sophie: It's a great question, I've never been super performing in other sports, so I turned to fitness. I much rather like individual sports where you fight against yourself. On the other hand, I find the international Cross-fit competitions very impressive.Question 5
WHAT OR WHO MADE YOU WANT TO PURSUE AN ACTIVE AND HEALTHY LIFESTYLE?
Sophie: It's something that's been part of me forever. I like to be active and take care of my body, that's how I was raised. The fact that my father died of cancer has also strengthened the desire to stay healthy as long as possible.Question 6
WHEN IT COMES TO OUR PROTEIN SUPPLEMENT FLAVOURS, WHICH ONE DO YOU PREFER?
Vanilla, Chocolate, Raspberry or Salted Caramel?
Sophie: Chocolate!Question 7
WHAT IS YOUR POSITION ON THE USE OF ILLEGAL OR UNCONTROLLED DRUGS IN CERTAIN SPORTS SUCH AS THE FITNESS WORLD?
Sophie: People are free to choose to use them, I don’t mind, as long as they do not register in a so-called “natural contest”. On the other hand, that choice does not correspond, in my opinion, to a healthy and active lifestyle. Question 8IF YOU COULD CHANGE ONE THING ABOUT YOURSELF, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
Sophie: Be less distracted and have a better memory!Question 9
WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE SPORTS HERO?
Sophie: I do not have a particular person in mind. On the other hand, there are many girls from the world of Fitness who inspire me a lot, including India Paulino and Janet Layug who both had children. There’s also Tia-Clair Toomey, the winner of the Cross-fit Games 2017-18. She impresses me by her strength and physical abilities.Question 10
WHAT IS THE BEST PART ABOUT COMPETING?
Sophie: The journey itself and to see how much I can be mentally strong to reach my goals, despite the harder days.Question 11
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE SONG TO LISTEN PRIOR TO COMPETING?
Sophie: Me, myself and I by G-Eazy and Bebe RexhaQuestion 12
IF YOU HAD SUPERPOWERS, WHAT WOULD THEY BE AND WHAT WOULD BE YOUR SUPERHERO NAME?
Sophie: Being able to bring a person back to life for a day, and as a name... it's such a good question!Question 13
WHAT IS YOUR GUILTY PLEASURE OR FAVORITE CHEAT MEAL?
Sophie: Honestly, I do not really feel that need! Otherwise, I would say a beef tartare at the restaurant (I know, it's not your typical cheat such as burgers, but it's something I love and not often eat).Question 14
WHAT ARE YOUR PERSONAL HEALTH GOALS FOR THIS YEAR?
Sophie: As I am going to give birth in September 2018, my goal will be to get back in shape to get where I was before getting pregnant.Question 15
Do you believe that women are well represented in the sports and fitness industries?
Sophie: I think there is still a way to go to become as prominent as men. As for fitness, unfortunately, the image is not always super positive in my view. It is too oriented towards the sexualization of the body. (By the way, that's what I love about ATP, that side is absolutely not highlighted).Question 16
What excites you or scares you the most about becoming a mother?
Sophie: I am excited about meeting my baby for the first time! For the rest, I am a person who lives day by day and I manage situations as they present themselves.Question 17
What is your favorite place to travel?
Sophie: I went to Hawaii twice this year, it's definitely MY place!Question 18
WHY ATP LAB?
Sophie: For the quality of their products. Being able to completely trust a company is unfortunately not so common nowadays. I know what I give to my body and I want to make sure I do not harm myself with hidden ingredients.Question 19
IN A FEW WORDS, WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO FANS WHO SEEK A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE?
Sophie: Do not try to change everything at once, because you will quickly be discouraged. If the workout is easier to integrate than the diet, I would go with the workout. When a routine is well established, I would then bring one change at a time instead of the diet. A small change at a time will bring much more long-term results than wanting to change everything at the same time and give up.Let us know in the comment section if you have a special question for one of our athletes?
